We are excited to have two opportunities to join our newly created Workplace Investigations team operating locally and connected Globally. As a Workplace Investigations Specialist (known internally as Workplace Investigations Consultant), you will play a pivotal role to centralise workplace investigation practices across owned and operated Restaurants and Corporate for Australia & New Zealand. Be an integral part of our journey to enhance our investigation processes by being more proactive, efficient and responsive whilst providing training and resources to prioritize a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace for everyone.

What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

• Leading thorough end to end workplace investigations covering a variety of complexities and matters. Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses in a fair and impartial manner. Gather, review, and analyse relevant documentation and evidence to provide a recommended outcome.
• Staying up to date with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. Ensure all investigations are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborating with team members to co-create and enhance Workplace Investigations Team processes, embedding a consistent framework across Australia & NZ.  Contributing to the recommended development and refinement of workplace conduct policies and procedures across McOpCo & Corporate.
• Handling all matters with discretion and professionalism. Protecting the privacy of all parties involved in investigations.
• Preparing maintaining detailed reports on investigation findings and outcomes.
• Analysing consistent themes across workplace investigations and delivering proactive measures to prevent future issues. 

Your keys to success:

• Experience in HR, Employee Relations, Legal or a similar field. Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport easily  and manage sensitive situations with care.
• Sound judgment guided by a strong sense of integrity. Proven ability to be a trusted partner and advisor to key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills to analyse complex situations, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions
